Seafood aglio olio recipe - Mushroom Spaghetti Aglio Olio Recipe with the easiest Pasta Sauce

Bring down the heat to low.

Add some drained pasta towards the garlic clove sauce and toss.

For anyone interested, I now do it with 8 to 10 good-sized leaves of fresh basil rather than parsley, and add two or three tablespoons of Olivio to the olive oil for extra richness.

This recipe says it serves 4 but as a side dish which I did it would easily serve 8 or even more.

You can easily turn this into a seafood aglio olio so go wild and add shrimp or prawns, mussels, fish, squid and just make this your own.

This is important and is missing from the recipe.

I also had shrimp to use so I cut those into thirds, the were very large, and sauted them just before adding the pasta.

It's basically the same concept.

Break up anchovies with a wooden spoon until they melt away into the oil and garlic mixture.
Add some red pepper flakes and prepare for thirty seconds more.

Using the starchy pasta water to emulsify the sauce creates a cleaner flavor than you'll find in renditions of this dish made with cream. Cooking the pasta in a smaller volume of water than the frequently recommended large pot produces starchier water, which helps to better emulsify the sauce.
